Nativity Sets

I love Nativity sets!  Always have, always will!  From the one I grew up with, a cardboard pop-up stable with slots to fit in the cardboard holy family, shepherds and animals, which was used for years until the yellowing tape which held it together finally just couldn't take the stress, to the newest one I saw today, the Peanuts Nativity set.

Now some people might think that items such as the Peanuts Nativity set are sacriligious.  Those people have never seen an elementary school Christmas play.

The Peanuts Nativity set in fact makes a profound and meaningful theological statement.

Woodstock is the baby Jesus.

And if you will remember, Woodstock has never said a word that could be understood by any human being, cartoon or reader.

Think about that, won't you?
